Something that people often comment on is the relative sense of scale that they experience in Europe, as compared to Canada or the United States. To get a better sense of how far things are from each other in Europe, I have superimposed an outline of Alberta on a map of Europe, with the main locations that we will be visiting highlighted. Basically, this trip will be approximately equal to driving all over the province of Alberta - but taking about 3 weeks to do it!
